For sale is my 1973 Chris Craft XK-22, one of only 75 made that year. A total restoration has been recently completed including all new wiring, engine rebuild, new upholstery and carpeting, and refinishing & painting of the hull.
The Chevy 350 FLV engine has 17 hours of running time since restoration, it puts out 350 horsepower and easily turns 6,000 rpm. The engine rebuild included: cylinders rebored and honed, new pistons & roller rockers, electronic ignition, new oil pump, new battery, new water-separating fuel filter, rebuilt starter, generator, water pumps, and carburetor.
The Volvo 270 outdrive has been fully serviced including rebuilding the power-trim motor.
The hull was completely refinished and painted using PPG two-part paint. The deck and sides are signet red (think '58 Corvette) with a white center stripe on the deck, a white boot stripe, and a black bottom. The upholstery has been done in a similar red & white color pattern. The rubrails were replaced as was the windshield glass. The gas tank was removed, vatted, and recoated. Included is a custom-made mooring cover and teak swim platform with retractable ladder. In addition, the two storage boxes, dashboard and glovebox where all custom made from mahogany. The cutty has fitted cushions and is large enough for an adult to stretch out.
The boat rests on its original tandem-axle trailer. The rebuild of the trailer included sandblasting and repainting, complete rewiring and installation of LED lights, 5 new tires/rims, new brake lines, brake cylinders and brake shoes. The roller-guides are mounted on pivoting cross-arms which makes launching and re-trailering extremely easy. The surge brakes work great and the trailer runs smoothly and is very road-worthy.
I am the second owner of this boat. It was originally sold by Hundley Marine on Lake Dallas where it spent its whole life I'm selling this boat because I realize I am a project-oriented person, and this one is complete. Clear title and registration in hand.
Price: $22,000
