Minutes of the Meeting

The meeting was opened by President Mark Webster promptly at 7:30 PM.
Bob Van Guilder reported that we now have 100 members thanks to recent out of state entries on the internet.
Phil Wolff advised that our present treasury balance is $1642.03 with no recent internet sales.
Walter Hill passed out gate passes for boats and tickets for the Fair Day event to be held at the Corral on the fair grounds October 10. Boats must be on display 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Boats will leave the Lucas shop at 7:30 AM. Vehicle parking on the fair grounds has changed this year and will be a little less convenient.
Robin gave an update on shop activity.
Richard Haug made a great presentation on the history of Shepherd Boats with many pictures of the boats they made. Shepherd boats were manufactured from 1930 to 1978 with the Shepherd family involved until 1958.
Mark presented the slate of officers nominated for 2006, They will be voted on in the next meeting.

Insurance renewal will also be considered in the next meeting with suggestions for alternatives. Last years insurance was $944.00 plus extra fees for events.
A Holiday party will be held at the Websters December 4.
Bill Baldwin has agreed to present at the January Banquet
Robin and others will be picking up a boat kit and plans from an individual donating it to the club. The kit is a 15 ft "Trailer Sailer" if anyone is interested in finishing it.
David Kanally provided the special nautical goodies.
