The meeting was opened by President David Kanally at 7:40 PM at Quick Draw Doors Company.
Treasury Report - Phil Wolff $4269.54 on account.
Lake Joe Pool Event - National Marina Day August 12. David presented a video taken at the event. A good time was had by all, the marina people treated the club very well with food, drink, and entertainment.
Mark reported the addition of two new members and introduced John Osbourn (the original owner of Robin’s Speed Liner).
Shop Report- Robin McGeorge Very little going on with high temperatures and lack of projects. Phil Wolff is in the process of bottom painting in prep for a water test. Troubleshooting on the Black Boat identified water pump failure.
Ride and Show event, August 25-27. A map was provided as a guide to the Kroemers Friday night. The launch will start at 8:00 AM Saturday at Eagle Point Marina. There will be 18 slips available on the lake side of the dock and, for the smaller craft, 12 more on the shore side. A map will be available to show the low water danger areas. Ten boats have been registered to date, more are anticipated.
Mark Webster gave a great presentation on the Canadian premier boat, the Ditchburn.
Les Burton showed off his latest model creation, a steam launch, beautifully crafted with many added details. Of special note were the dock lines made of candle wick.
