The meeting was opened by President David Kanally at 7:30 PM at Benefit Mall Inc. Members watched videos of the recent shop cleanup event and the Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club 50th anniversary celebration
Treasury Report - Phil Wolff
There is currently $3235.15, which includes a donation by the Southwest Chapter of the ACBS for the purpose of funding the Friday night event of the August 25-27 Ride & Show.

Shop Report- Robin McGeorge
Chris Christianson is progressing on his big Chris Craft. Jerry Foltyn has done a successful float test on his boat and has the first three of a projected 12 coats of varnish on it. Phil Wolff is storing a dandy trailer with a 1952 Century Resorter 18' boat on it.
Fair Park Event discussion:
We need a total of 6 boats to have a proper display on June 18. Robin McGeorge volunteered Black Beauty and his Speedliner to round out the boats being brought by Phil Wolff, Bob VanGuilder, David Kanally and Jim Wolfe. Tow vehicle and driver to be arranged through Bob VanGuilder. Those participating are asked to bring wheel chocks and a stepstool to facilitate viewing. 11 a.m. arrival, be in place by noon. Event runs 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Classic Car & Boat Show discussion:
David Kanally reported his walk-through of the June 24th event site at Pier 121 with Bill Mott of the CCCA and Katina Real, Commodore of the Pier 121 Yacht Club. Two ramps are available for launch. 9 a.m. launch time for 10 a.m. start. We will use the docks between Charlie’s restaurant and the shoreline. Cars will be in two semi-circular rows on the grassy shore. Skippers should plan to have their boats out of the water by the 7:30 p.m. Oldies party start time.
The Lewisville Lake Ride and Show discussion: Planning is still in progress. Liaison with Eagle Point Marina is still required, Phil Wolff agreed to handle boat launching again this year. The Friday night event will probably be at the Kroemers.
The Charity Boat Restoration project has died, evidently the sponsor has changed his plans
Terry Westbrook gave a presentation on the Highland Lakes portion of the Texas Colorado River.
The Colorado River is the largest in Texas that originates in Texas and is 900 miles long. Flooding on this river is a major problem. Terry discussed the history and purpose of the six lakes that form the flood control system. Terry said that the ACBS is holding a Lake LBJ River Run event on July 20.
Robin agreed to move up his presentation to next month’s meeting. The meeting will be held at Benefit Mall again.
