Minutes of the Meeting

The meeting was opened by President Mark Webster at 7:30 PM. Sixteen members were present although Robin McGeorge did point out that the Secretary did arrive 13 minutes late.

David Kanally brought us up to date on the Silver Lake Marina outing for this Saturday, May 21, at Grapevine Lake. At present 15 cars, 3 amphibicars, and 11 boats are signed up. It will be possible for more folks to buy barbeque lunch at the event.

Phil Wolff advised that our present treasury balance is $2029.25. Richard asked for pictures for the web site update in progress.

Walter announced that our place in the State Fair has been set for October 10.

Robin McGeorge brought us up to date on work at the shop. Work continues on Chris’s and Phil’s boats. Phil’s is being glassed and Chris is refinishing his varnish. Jerry is in the process of installing ceiling boards in his Mercury. Robin & Pete have procured a new professional joiner for the shop.

Les Burton and Richard Haug made a great slide presentation of the Hot Springs and Keels and Wheels events.

Jerry announced that Classic Boating is looking for event pictures for the magazine. Special requirements apply. The contributor will be paid $100.
