"Black Beauty" was a barn find from a very reputable boat collector in
Northern Minnesota where it had been for over 10 years. The present owners
bought the boat and brought her to Dallas in 2000 where they lovingly began
and completed the restoration. The boat has won several trophies at the Keels
and Wheels Boat Show in Houston and the owners have also been recognized for
their many years of service as officers in our local club and the SW Chapter
of the ACBS. Both have had numberous wooden boats including Chris Craft, Grand
Craft, and Garwood boats but this was their favorite restoration. They were
also both very involved with many club member boat restorations through the
years including my personal Century Resorter that turned out great!
There will be no disappointments with this boat and it not only looks great but it runs as good as it looks! This is a real head turner and quick with its 350CI engine and Velvet drive transmission. It gives a very comfortable ride at 40 MPH.
