Don't Miss the Annual Banquet on January 19!

This is your invitation to the WBA's annual Installation Banquet at Canyon Creek Country Club on Saturday evening, January 19, 2008. Join fellow WBA skippers, spouses and guests for the official welcome of newly elected officers and enjoy cocktails, a buffet dinner, and our program.

Our featured presentation this year will be by Ron and Jeff Hill, a father and son team who have a lifetime of interesting stories about the charming and unique Dispro. Many WBA members have seen Jeff at the Ride 'n Show and other events with his "Dippy" pictured above. The Hills have restored Dispros and taken the one-cylinder launches on amazing journeys. Come and learn their story at the Banquet.

Please RSVP to Phil Wolff by email or to David Kanally by phone at 940 395 2742 as soon as possible. Tickets are going fast at $30 per person. See you there!

Holiday Party Lights Up December Night!

Thirty five skippers, family members and guests gathered on Saturday evening, December 8 at the home of Cheryl and David Kanally for the annual Holiday Party. Santa greeted the guests from his position amidships on Kanally's 1957 Cowell outboard which had come ashore into the front yard, thanks to an imaginary tow by an eager 1933 Austin Seven. The conversation was lively as everyone caught up on recent happenings and plans for the holidays.

Seb Borrello Talks Clayton, St. Lawrence Seaway at November 15 Meeting

WBA Archivist and long-time member Seb Borrello treated the November gathering of the WBA to a visual tour of the St. Lawrence Seaway as part of his annual update on the events and projects of the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, New York. The photos and information provided the group with a good overview of not only the museum's activities, but also of the breathtaking scenery and rich history of the castles, islands and other attractions of the St. Lawrence. Special thanks to Seb for his great presentation!

Please take a look in the shed or garage for the leftover parts or other saleable items you can donate to the club. Bring them to any WBA meeting, or contact David Kanally at david@historywithheart.com for pickup.
